Pawan Kalyan’s Green Vision for Pushkaralu

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to organize the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu with a strict focus on environmental sustainability.

During a high-level review meeting, he emphasized that the massive cultural festival must not lead to river pollution or ecological damage.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that millions of devotees are expected to visit the holy river, making waste management a top priority.

He ordered the immediate drafting of a comprehensive action plan to ban single-use plastics entirely across all festival venues and ghats.

Local administrations have been instructed to set up efficient sewage treatment measures to prevent temporary setups from polluting the water.

The government plans to collaborate with environmental experts and spiritual organizations to promote eco-friendly practices among pilgrims.

Pawan Kalyan highlighted that preserving the purity of the Godavari River is as sacred as the rituals performed during the festival.

Officials are also looking into implementing green transport options around the major congregation points to reduce carbon emissions.

Departments including Irrigation, Endowments, and Pollution Control will work in coordination to monitor water quality throughout the event.

The administration aims to set a new benchmark for executing large-scale religious gatherings without harming the natural ecosystem.
