V. Vijaysai Reddy’s Regional Party Announcement
Former Member of Parliament V. Vijayasai Reddy has officially announced his decision to float a new regional political party in Andhra Pradesh.
The formal launch and unveiling of the party name, flag, and core structure will take place after the upcoming Vijaya Dasami festival.
Addressing a press conference in Vijayawada, he stated that the outfit aims to provide a strong and viable political alternative to the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the opposition Yuvajana Shramika Rhythu Congress Party (YSRCP).
According to his statement, the primary objective of this upcoming political platform is to completely eradicate systemic corruption and what he described as vindictive political culture in the state.
He criticized major political factions for promoting dynastic politics and claimed that common citizens are looking for a transparent alternative that truly serves public welfare.
In a major shift from conventional political strategy, Vijayasai Reddy declared that neither he nor any member of his immediate family would run for the Chief Ministerial post in the 2029 assembly elections.
Instead, he stated that he intends to act strictly as a guiding mentor, drawing inspiration from the organizational model of Bal Thackeray in Maharashtra.
A central highlight of the newly announced party framework is an aggressive focus on youth empowerment and next-generation leadership.
The party has committed to reserving 66 percent of total electoral tickets across assembly, parliamentary, and local body levels for young people aged between 25 and 40.
This reservation policy will apply regardless of caste background, offering a dedicated platform for emerging leaders and upcoming professionals.
Furthermore, 33 percent of those youth-allocated seats will be specifically set apart for young women to encourage inclusive political participation.
Outlining the policy roadmap, the leader noted that the party manifesto would center around five primary pillars designed to fix economic pressures.
These key goals include boosting household incomes, curbing the soaring retail prices of essential everyday commodities, and reducing financial burdens.
Additional focus areas involve expanding water storage capacity to tackle recurring droughts and promoting extensive solar power generation.
The proposed energy model aims to offer free electricity access to regular households and local farmers by combining state measures with central subsidies.
He also pointed out that cutting high taxes on petroleum products could bring down fuel costs and streamline logistics across the region.
Before the formal rollout, a series of detailed public interactions and press meets are scheduled across key cities like Anantapur, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.
Following these regional consultations, a massive grassroots outreach campaign is planned to connect directly with citizens across all mandals.
Political analysts indicate that this unexpected development could significantly alter equations in the state’s political arena ahead of future electoral cycles.
