AP Hits Investment Jackpot with ₹2 Lakh Crore Clearances

Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a historic industrial surge as the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) cleared projects worth ₹2.01 lakh crore today. Chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the meeting fast-tracked 25 major proposals aimed at reshaping the state’s economic landscape. This massive influx is expected to generate over 39,000 jobs across various sectors, including technology and green energy.
Reliance Industries is leading the charge with a monumental ₹1.08 lakh crore investment for a mega data center in Visakhapatnam. Additionally, the group will invest ₹51,300 crore in solar power and battery storage projects in Sri Sathya Sai district. These initiatives highlight the government’s push to make the state a leader in digital infrastructure and sustainable energy solutions.
In another major move, Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for Carrier Global’s ₹1,000 crore manufacturing unit in Sri City. The facility will produce high-end cooling systems and is expected to employ 3,000 people. This project cements the state’s status as a global “cool capital,” with Sri City projected to supply 80% of India’s air-conditioning needs by 2028.
The steel and mining sectors are also seeing a revival, with plans to attract ₹1.9 lakh crore in investments. The Chief Minister has directed officials to utilize the state’s 1,938 million tonnes of iron ore reserves to create 1.52 lakh jobs. Major players like ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel are already moving forward with large-scale plants in the Rayalaseema region.
Beyond heavy industry, the government is focusing on the “One Family–One Entrepreneur” vision by supporting MSMEs. Plans are underway to develop specialized clusters for medical devices, pharma, and food processing. By prioritizing ease of doing business and rapid clearances, the administration aims to build a robust “AP Brand” that attracts top-tier global innovators.
