Botcha Demands Political Power for Kapus

Senior YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana has demanded immediate political empowerment for the Kapu community in North Andhra.

Speaking at a major community conclave in Srikakulam, he stated that major political parties have consistently sidelined the Kapu population.

The Legislative Council Opposition Leader emphasized that true development is impossible without fair representation in legislative bodies.

The event, named the Turpu Kapu Atma Gowrava Sammelana Sabha, drew immense crowds from across the northern districts.

Interestingly, the meeting crossed partisan lines, drawing attendance from various political outfits in the state.

Telugu Desam Party MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao was also present on the stage during the discussions.

Community leaders unitedly expressed concern over the diminishing political space for North Andhra’s backward classes.

Satyanarayana pointed out that the community has long served as a major voting bloc without receiving proportionate leadership roles.

He urged all political entities to allocate more seats to Kapu candidates in upcoming local body and assembly elections.

The veteran politician stressed that representation should not be limited to mere voting power during election cycles.

Instead, he called for strategic positions in cabinet ranks and parliamentary committees for regional leaders.

Speakers at the conclave highlighted the socio-economic challenges faced by youth in the coastal belt.

They argued that a lack of political voice directly impacts the allocation of funds for regional development.

The gathering passed a collective resolution demanding fair treatment from all major political coalitions.

This development adds a new dimension to the shifting political dynamics of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Observers note that the unity of Kapu leaders across party lines could influence future electoral strategies.

The demand comes at a time when regional identity and caste representation are taking center stage in state politics.

Satyanarayana vowed to take this movement forward until the community achieves its rightful share in governance.

The meeting concluded with a call to the youth to actively participate in political processes and question leadership.

Further updates on regional political alignments are expected as community leaders plan more district-level meetings.
