Telangana Chief Minister Demands Central Approvals For State Projects
A major political debate has emerged in Telangana as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy challenged the central government over pending infrastructure clearances. Speaking at a high-level public gathering, the Chief Minister expressed strong dissatisfaction with the lack of cooperation regarding key development works. He stated that the state administration is making continuous efforts to push infrastructure forward but faces administrative hurdles at multiple steps.
The main point of contention revolves around major development initiatives including the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion and the Musi Riverfront project. The Chief Minister pointedly questioned the role of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy in these delays. He alleged that instead of helping the state secure funds, central representatives are actively influencing departments to withhold necessary clearances. He stressed that political differences should not impact welfare and progress.
The Chief Minister also raised serious concerns regarding agricultural support and grain procurement timelines. He insisted that the central agencies must fulfill their responsibilities by purchasing every grain produced by local farmers. He warned that the state’s agricultural community should not have to face financial hardships due to delays in decision-making at the central level. He dared opposition groups to join an open debate on the overall development achieved across different tenures.
In response to these allegations, the opposition parties have strongly countered the state government’s claims. Central representatives stated that the current administration is simply trying to shift the blame for its own governance failures. They maintained that the central government has consistently supported regional growth and infrastructural loans. They advised the ruling party to focus on fulfilling local election promises rather than engaging in continuous political faceoffs.
