YSRCP Protests Against “Murder Politics” in AP

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) launched massive protests across Andhra Pradesh . This move comes after the brutal killing of Manda Salman, a Dalit activist from the Palnadu district. Party leaders and supporters gathered at various locations to demand justice and highlight what they call a breakdown of law and order.

Former ministers and senior leaders led a major dharna in front of the Director General of Police (DGP) office in Vijayawada. They alleged that the police initially denied them permission to file a formal complaint. The YSRCP claims that the murder was a targeted political act because the victim supported their party during recent elections.

The opposition has coined the term “Red Book Rule” to describe the current state of governance. They argue that political vendetta is driving violence against marginalized communities. Leaders demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident, claiming the local police are acting under the influence of the ruling coalition.

In response, the party is building a “people’s movement” to address these safety concerns. They have asked for a compensation of 1 crore for the victim’s family. While the ruling TDP-led government maintains that law and order is stable, the YSRCP continues to push the narrative of “government-sponsored” violence.

These protests have sparked heated debates in local circles, with the YSRCP vowing to take the matter to the High Court through a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) if immediate action is not taken against the accused.
