Minister Atchannaidu Demands Answers on AP Liquor Case
Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu has raised sharp questions regarding financial irregularities in the state’s former liquor policy. Speaking at an official gathering, the minister demanded clear answers about an alleged 3,200 crore rupees scam.
He highlighted that decisions under the previous administration caused severe revenue losses to the state treasury. Investigating agencies have been examining cash-heavy sales systems, altered procurement procedures, and changes in liquor transport tenders.
The minister pointed out recent testimony given before court authorities, which outlines how commission payments influenced brand permissions and distribution orders. He urged political leaders involved in past policy decisions to address these legal allegations directly.
Opposing political leaders have dismissed the claims, calling the investigation politically driven. Meanwhile, state investigative units continue their detailed review to trace fund movements and determine public accountability.
