Farmers Detained Over Bullet Train Land Fencing

Tension gripped Bahadurguda village near Shamshabad as local farmers staged a fierce protest. The agitation erupted over the official move to acquire and fence land for a proposed bullet train hub. Officials from the land administration and security forces arrived at the spot to begin fencing approximately 650 acres of land.

Local cultivators refused to hand over their property, demanding written guarantees from the government regarding fair compensation and rehabilitation packages before any work could proceed. The protest had been running peacefully for five days under a makeshift tent. However, the situation turned chaotic when heavy machinery was brought in to block access to the fields.

Agitated villagers raised slogans and tried to halt the fencing process. A scuffle broke out between the security personnel and the protesting farmers, leading to widespread commotion in the area. Amid the ongoing chaos, several individuals were taken into custody and shifted to the local police station for obstructing public servants.

Security forces have cordoned off the village and restricted regular movement on connecting roads to maintain order. Opposition leaders have voiced support for the farmers, asking the state to address public grievances before executing mega infrastructure projects.
