Controversy Deepens Over Punjab CM Video Case

A major political and legal battle has erupted following a dramatic turn in the controversial video case involving Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The Haryana Police in Gurugram registered an official criminal case after a cyber and forensic professional claimed he was heavily pressured to falsify data. The expert alleged that individuals tried to force him to declare a controversial viral video as fake and completely generated by artificial intelligence.

The development follows weeks of massive intense public debate regarding the authenticity of a social media video clip that triggered widespread religious and political outrage. While opposition leaders demanded accountability, the ruling party maintained that the clip was a deepfake weaponized by political rivals to hurt reputations. This fresh case filed at the DLF police station in Gurugram adds a serious layer of criminal conspiracy investigations to the ongoing row.

According to the official complaint, a forensic expert from Sirsa was summoned to a luxury hotel near IFFCO Chowk in Gurugram. Once there, specific individuals allegedly pressured him to compile a fabricated forensic report stating the person in the video was an actor and not the Chief Minister. The complainant stated that he refused to clear the clip as an artificial intelligence creation due to a complete lack of technical evidence.

The Gurugram Police have formally registered the first information report against multiple named suspects under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act. Investigators are now tracking down financial transactions and digital communications to identify everyone involved in the alleged cover-up attempt. Security agencies have intensified their search operations across NCR regions to make formal arrests and seize relevant electronic evidence.
