Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Targets YSRCP Over Kadapa Murder

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has launched a scathing attack on the YSRCP leadership following the recent murder of Pedda Dastagiri in Kadapa. Speaking at an event in Anakapalli, Naidu claimed that the opposition is resorting to a familiar strategy of violence and deception to destabilize the state’s progress.

The Chief Minister directly linked the current incident to the 2019 murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. He alleged that the YSRCP follows a specific “playbook” where internal family or party disputes are settled through violence, followed by attempts to frame the deaths as natural occurrences or heart attacks.

Naidu stated that such criminal activities are a desperate attempt by the opposition to distract the public from the state’s industrial growth. He emphasized that the “Yellow-Red-Green” alliance of TDP, JSP, and BJP is focused on creating jobs and bringing in global investments, which the previous regime failed to do.

According to the Chief Minister, the culture of “faction politics” in Rayalaseema must end to ensure investor confidence. He warned that the government would not tolerate any attempts to create a law-and-order crisis. Naidu promised a high-level investigation to uncover the true masterminds behind the Kadapa killing.

In response, YSRCP leaders have dismissed these allegations as political vendetta. They claim the TDP is using individual crime incidents to target their cadre and divert attention from unfulfilled poll promises. The political heat in the state continues to rise as both parties gear up for the upcoming local body administrative shifts.

The state government is now working on a special task force to monitor high-profile criminal cases in sensitive districts. Naidu reiterated that the “double-engine” growth of Andhra Pradesh requires a peaceful environment. He urged the youth to focus on the new industrial opportunities rather than being misled by political instigators.

As the investigation into the Kadapa murder progresses, the political narrative remains centered on the contrast between development and crime. The Chief Minister concluded that the people of Andhra Pradesh have already rejected the “politics of fear” and will continue to support a transparent and safe administration.
