Case Registered Against Bandi Sanjay’s Son
A legal storm has hit the family of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar as the Hyderabad police registered a case against his son, Bandi Bhageerath. The investigation follows a complaint filed at the Petbasheerbad police station on May 8.
The complaint was lodged by a 17-year-old girl and her family, who leveled serious allegations of sexual harassment against Bhageerath. According to the police, the incident reportedly took place during a visit to a farmhouse. Based on the girl’s age and the nature of the claims, officials have invoked sections of the POCSO Act.

He alleged that he is the victim of a sophisticated extortion plot and criminal intimidation. Bhageerath claimed that the girl’s family was pressuring him for a large sum of money and threatening to damage his reputation.
According to his statement, the friendship between the individuals was social, involving group trips to various spiritual sites. He alleged that when he refused a marriage proposal from the family, they demanded five crore rupees. He further stated that he had already paid a smaller amount out of fear before approaching the authorities.
The political atmosphere in Telangana has intensified following these developments. Opposition leaders are demanding a transparent probe, while BJP supporters suggest the timing of the case is politically motivated. The state police have confirmed that both complaints will be investigated independently to uncover the truth.
