AP Launches New Digital Praja Darbar

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has officially launched a revamped “Praja Darbar” platform aimed at revolutionizing how citizens interact with the government. This new initiative is designed to bring the administration directly to the doorstep of every household in Andhra Pradesh.
The platform serves as a unified digital gateway for grievance redressal, ensuring that no complaint goes unheard. By integrating advanced tracking systems, the government aims to provide real-time updates to applicants regarding the status of their requests.
During the launch, the Chief Minister emphasized that the primary goal is to achieve “Speed of Governance.” He noted that the era of visiting multiple offices for a single signature is over, as the state moves toward a fully paperless and transparent system.
A significant feature of this initiative is the integration with popular messaging apps like WhatsApp. This allows residents to submit issues, upload photos of local problems, and receive official responses without needing specialized technical knowledge or high-end devices.
To ensure accountability, every grievance filed through the Praja Darbar will be monitored by a central command center. Officials at the district and mandal levels have been given strict timelines to resolve pending issues, with performance metrics tied to their career evaluations.
The Chief Minister also directed District Collectors to hold physical “Field Grievance Days” every Friday. This hybrid approach combines the efficiency of digital tools with the personal touch of face-to-face interactions, ensuring that even those in remote areas are not left behind.
The government believes this move will significantly reduce corruption by eliminating middle-men. By creating a direct link between the common man and the Chief Minister’s Office, the state hopes to foster a culture of trust and rapid development.
Public response to the announcement has been largely positive, with many welcoming the move toward 24-hour file clearing. This digital transformation marks a significant milestone in the state’s journey toward becoming a global leader in modern, citizen-centric administration and governance.
