TDP Reshuffles Pithapuram Leadership to End Rift

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leadership has taken a major step to resolve internal friction in the Pithapuram constituency. Former MLA S.V.S.N. Varma has been removed from his position as the party in-charge. This move comes after a series of public disagreements and a heated rift with the local Jana Sena Party (JSP) leaders.

The decision was finalized following high-level discussions between the TDP high command and state leadership. To ensure smooth coordination in the segment, a special committee will now be formed to oversee party activities. This committee aims to maintain unity within the NDA alliance and prevent future protocol disputes.

Reports indicate that the recent tensions peaked during government events where protocol issues sparked public altercations. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over these incidents, emphasizing that alliance discipline must be a top priority. The removal of the in-charge is seen as a way to “set the house in order.”

S.V.S.N. Varma, who sacrificed his seat for Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in the last elections, responded emotionally to the decision. While he expressed sadness during a press meet, he stated that he would abide by the party’s choice. He mentioned that he had discussed the formation of a committee with Nara Lokesh to help manage the workload.

The Pithapuram constituency remains a high-profile segment as it is represented by Pawan Kalyan. Both TDP and JSP leaders are now working to ensure that the alliance remains strong at the grassroots level. The new committee is expected to bridge the gap between the two parties and streamline local administration.
