New Forest Hub Near Mangalagiri

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for Aranyaramam, a state-of-the-art forest research, training, and monitoring center. Located at Brahmanandapuram village near AIIMS-Mangalagiri, this project will cost approximately 24 crore. It is designed to act as a central hub to coordinate environmental protection, scientific research, and conservation activities across the state.
The new facility will bring multiple departments together under one roof, including the State Forest Research and Training Institute and the State Forest Development Agency. It will also serve as the main command center for the HANUMAN project, which focuses on saving wildlife and reducing conflicts between humans and animals. This single location will allow officials to track field operations in real time using advanced technology.
During the event, officials shared that the forest department successfully completed 185 wildlife rescue operations and resolved 36 human-wildlife conflicts recently. The Aranyaramam center will also monitor major green initiatives, such as the Great Green Wall program and tiger conservation projects, helping the state manage its natural resources and wildlife more effectively.
