Minister Parthasarathy Blames Jagan for AP’s Lost Progress

In a fiery press briefing held in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh’s Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy launched a direct attack on former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He accused Jagan of failing the people during his tenure and criticized his absence during the recent Cyclone Motha crisis.

Parthasarathy alleged that Jagan’s administration was driven by credit theft, corruption, and destruction. He claimed that development projects were stalled or mismanaged, and that Jagan’s leadership lacked transparency and accountability.

The minister praised current CM Chandrababu Naidu for his swift and ground-level response to Cyclone Motha. He highlighted how Naidu’s team mobilized resources quickly, while Jagan, as opposition leader, remained in Bengaluru and criticized the government from afar.

Parthasarathy mocked Jagan’s past flood visits, describing them as “red carpet events” with elevated platforms and media focus, rather than genuine relief efforts. He contrasted this with Naidu’s hands-on approach, which involved direct coordination with district officials and emergency teams.

The remarks come amid rising political tensions in Andhra Pradesh, with parties gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Parthasarathy’s statements are seen as part of a broader campaign to expose alleged failures of the previous regime and reinforce the current government’s proactive image.

Local media, including ETV and ABN, have amplified the minister’s comments, sparking debates across social platforms. Citizens are reacting strongly, with many demanding accountability and transparency from all political leaders.Parthasarathy reiterated the coalition government’s commitment to infrastructure, disaster preparedness, and transparent governance. He urged voters to recognize the difference between symbolic leadership and real service

As Andhra Pradesh navigates post-cyclone recovery and prepares for national elections, the political narrative is shifting. Minister Parthasarathy’s attack on Jagan has reignited discussions on leadership, responsibility, and the future of governance in the state.
