CM Revanth Reddy Urges Officials to Stay Vigilant Amid Ongoing Rains

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed district officials and emergency teams to remain on high alert as heavy rains continue to lash several parts of the state. With forecasts indicating that showers may persist into the night, the CM emphasized proactive measures to safeguard public life and property.

The instructions were issued during a high-level review meeting held this evening, where officials from the Disaster Response Force, Revenue Department, and Municipal Administration were briefed on the evolving weather conditions. Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of real-time coordination between departments and urged swift action in case of waterlogging, power outages, or infrastructure damage.

In Hyderabad and surrounding districts, intermittent downpours have already led to traffic disruptions and minor flooding in low-lying areas. The CM asked GHMC officials to deploy additional teams for clearing clogged drains and monitoring vulnerable zones.

Farmers in rural belts were also advised to take precautionary steps to protect standing crops. The Agriculture Department has been tasked with issuing timely advisories and ensuring support for affected cultivators.

Revanth Reddy reiterated that safety of citizens is the top priority and instructed local bodies to keep emergency helplines active through the night. He also appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and stay indoors unless essential.
