Cabinet to Clear Big Relief for Amaravati Farmers
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting scheduled for tomorrow is set to bring major relief to the farming community in the Amaravati capital region. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will chair this high-level meeting to clear key welfare and development proposals.
The primary focus of tomorrow’s session remains the welfare of farmers who contributed their lands for the capital city project. The state government is expected to officially approve an annual annuity of ₹40,000 per acre for individuals who joined the land pooling scheme recently.
In another major move to boost capital infrastructure, the cabinet will finalize the transfer of 307 acres of land to the Capital Region Development Authority. This land will be used to build a mega Sports City, aimed at placing Amaravati on the international sports map.
Beyond capital infrastructure, the government is focusing on the agricultural sector by addressing the challenges faced by tobacco farmers. The Chief Minister has directed authorities to begin immediate tobacco procurement at the Minimum Support Price to safeguard farmers from market price drops.
Spiritual and industrial growth will also get a major push in this cabinet meeting. The state plans to clear land allocations for prominent organisations, including the Isha Foundation, the Art of Living, and the Confederation of Indian Industry to set up their centers.
To boost tourism and local economies, the government is introducing artificial intelligence into the tourism sector. A new initiative will deploy multilingual AI guides across 100 tourist destinations in the state, helping visitors explore heritage sites easily.
The cabinet will also look into the aquaculture sector by allocating specific land in the capital region for a modern aquarium project. This initiative is expected to create new employment opportunities and support the local fisheries department.
Public welfare, infrastructure development, and immediate farmer relief form the core of tomorrow’s agenda. Citizens and political analysts are looking forward to the official announcements after the cabinet concludes its voting.
