AP Leaders Hail NDA Success in Assembly Polls

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan have expressed great joy over the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) performance in the 2026 assembly elections. Naidu stated that the results in states like West Bengal and Assam reflect the growing trust people have in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He believes this momentum will help strengthen the development of Andhra Pradesh through continued central support.

In a significant political gesture, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated actor-politician Vijay and his party, TVK, for their impressive performance in Tamil Nadu. Jagan’s message focused on the power of regional identity and the success of new political movements. This outreach has sparked discussions about potential shifts in Southern political equations and future alliances between regional parties.

The State Government is moving forward with its promise of a 34% reservation for Backward Classes (BC) in local body elections. The BC Dedicated Commission, led by Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, recently concluded its tour of North Andhra districts to collect population data. This step is crucial for ensuring fair political representation for neglected communities before the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC polls.

Under the “Swarna Andhra Vision 2047,” the first batch of 37 award-winning teachers has reached Singapore for a specialized training program. This initiative aims to adopt global teaching methods to improve the quality of education in state-run schools. Education Minister Lokesh confirmed that more teachers will be sent to Finland in the next phase to learn advanced classroom management.

To support the farming community, Water Resources Minister N. Rama Naidu announced the release of ₹397 crore for canal repair and maintenance. These works are being fast-tracked to ensure a smooth water supply for the upcoming Kharif season. The government has spent over ₹1,100 crore on irrigation maintenance in the last 20 months to fix infrastructure that was previously neglected.
