A major political standoff erupted in New Delhi as the Delhi Police shifted prominent climate activist Sonam Wangchuk from his protest site at Jantar Mantar to Safdarjung Hospital. The administrative action occurred during the early hours, following the 21st day of Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike. According to official statements, the decision to transfer the activist was made in strict compliance with recent directives from the Delhi High Court. The protest, organized in collaboration with the Cockroach Janta Party, focuses heavily on national education framework grievances.
