Ram Charan Launches “Champion” Trailer
Mega Power Star Ram Charan made a grand appearance in Hyderabad today to launch the trailer of the movie Champion. The film features Roshan Meka, son of senior actor Srikanth, in the lead role. Speaking at the event, Ram Charan praised the hard work of the young team and described the film’s content as a “potential classic.” He shared a warm bond with Roshan, whom he treats like a younger brother, and wished the entire crew a huge success.
The movie is a period action-drama directed by Pradeep Advaitham. It is set in 1948 during a turbulent time in Indian history, specifically focusing on the Bairanpally region of Telangana. Roshan Meka plays the role of Michael, a talented footballer who dreams of traveling to London. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he gets involved in a government mission that leads him to the brave village of Bairanpally. The trailer shows a mix of intense sports action and gritty historical events.
Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan marks her Telugu debut with this film, playing the female lead. The movie also features a strong supporting cast, including Murali Sharma and Kay Kay Menon. Backed by Swapna Cinema and Zee Studios, the film has high production values with music composed by Mickey J. Meyer. The team recreated the pre-Independence era using grand sets designed by veteran art director Thota Tharani. Champion is scheduled to hit the theaters worldwide on December 25 as a Christmas special.
