Prabhas Starrer The Raja Saab Ticket Rates Hiked

Fans of “Rebel Star” Prabhas have received a major update as the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments officially sanctioned ticket price hikes for his upcoming film, The Raja Saab. The horror-comedy, directed by Maruthi, is scheduled for a grand theatrical release tomorrow, January 9. This decision comes amidst massive anticipation, with the film already crossing major milestones in advance bookings both domestically and overseas.

In Andhra Pradesh, the government has permitted a significant increase to support the high-budget production. For the first ten days, single-screen ticket prices will see a hike of ₹150, bringing the cost to ₹297 per seat. Multiplexes have been granted a ₹200 increase, setting the price at ₹377. Most notably, special premiere shows scheduled for tonight have been capped at a premium price of ₹1000, reflecting the intense demand to see Prabhas in a vintage, entertaining avatar.

Telangana has followed suit, with the High Court granting relief to the makers by allowing similar price adjustments across the state. In addition to the hikes, the government has permitted five shows per day, providing ample screening time to accommodate the holiday crowds during the Sankranti season. The film’s team expressed their gratitude, noting that these measures are essential for large-scale cinematic projects to thrive in the current market.

Advance booking reports indicate that the film is poised for a record-breaking opening. The Raja Saab has already earned nearly ₹9 crore in pre-sales in India alone, with Andhra Pradesh leading the contributions. The postponement of other major releases like Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has further cleared the path for Prabhas to dominate the box office. With a runtime of over three hours and a promising horror-comedy blend, the film is expected to be a major highlight of the 2026 festival season.
