India is keeping a close watch on the rising tensions, especially regarding fuel prices and international trade routes. The Prime Minister assured the House that the government is taking proactive steps to safeguard India’s energy security. He mentioned that the country has built a strong strategic petroleum reserve to handle any sudden supply disruptions. India currently imports oil from over 40 different countries to stay prepared.
A major concern for the government is the rising cost of cooking gas and fuel for Indian households. Prime Minister Modi stated that domestic needs remain the top priority. He confirmed that the administration is working on a clear plan to maintain steady supplies of LPG. By diversifying import sources, India aims to protect its citizens from the volatile shifts in the international market.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of protecting the millions of Indian citizens working in West Asian countries. Their safety and well-being are of utmost importance to the Indian government. He called for a collective effort from the global community to de-escalate the crisis. Stability in the region is essential not just for India, but for the prosperity of the entire world.
