Pawan Kalyan’s Push to Strengthen Jana Sena at Grassroots

The Jana Sena party, led by Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, has begun a significant drive to strengthen its presence across Andhra Pradesh by ordering the formation of committees from the village level up to the Parliamentary constituency level. This move is seen as a crucial organizational step to ensure the party has a strong, coordinated network capable of monitoring public issues and preparing for future local body elections.

Mr. Kalyan chaired a high-level review meeting with senior party functionaries at the central office in Mangalagiri, where he outlined the new structure. He emphasized that the goal is to deepen the party’s reach “from the root level to the state level.” The decision marks a firm commitment to building a robust organizational spine for Jana Sena, complementing its current role in the state’s coalition government.

Under the new plan, five-member committees will be established in every village across the state. These panels are expected to play a hands-on role in local development activities, actively monitor the concerns of the public in their respective areas, and ensure effective coordination of all party programs. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that similar five-member panels would also be formed at the constituency level to maintain a smooth flow of communication and organizational unity across all tiers of the party’s structure.

Furthermore, a specific instruction was issued to ensure that women receive adequate representation in these newly formed committees. This focus on women’s empowerment is a key feature of the party’s organizational restructuring. The Deputy CM directed that at least one or two women be included in every five-member committee.

In addition to the grassroots effort, Mr. Kalyan also addressed internal party management. He announced the creation of an 11-member ‘conflict management committee’ which will function under the direct oversight of the central office. The main responsibility of this panel will be to efficiently resolve any internal disputes, ensuring that the party remains focused and unified in its objectives. He also reviewed the nominated posts allotted to the Jana Sena as part of the coalition agreement and provided clear instructions for promptly filling the remaining vacancies, while adhering to the principles of the alliance. The message from the Deputy CM is clear: while respecting the coalition dharma, priority must be given to the loyal cadres who have consistently contributed to the party’s growth and vision. The comprehensive organizational overhaul, which included using the Pithapuram constituency as a pilot project, signals Jana Sena’s serious intent to consolidate its political footprint across Andhra Pradesh.
