Jagan Announces “YSRCP 2.0” and Statewide Padayatra

YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced a massive political comeback strategy titled YSRCP 2.0. Speaking to party members in Tadepalli, the former Chief Minister revealed plans for a 5,000-kilometer statewide padayatra to reconnect with the public and strengthen the party’s grassroots presence across Andhra Pradesh.
The walkathon is expected to cover almost every assembly constituency over the next 18 months. Jagan stated that this journey is not just a political move but a way to stand by the people and understand their current struggles. He criticized the ruling coalition for diluting welfare schemes and failing to meet the expectations of various social sectors.
Under the YSRCP 2.0 banner, the party will shift its focus toward intense local engagement. Jagan urged his leaders to conduct weekly meetings at the constituency level. He believes that direct interaction with students, farmers, and women will help highlight the gaps in the current government’s administration, specifically regarding education and healthcare.
This padayatra marks the early beginning of the YSRCP’s campaign for the 2029 elections. By hitting the streets years in advance, Jagan aims to re-energize the party cadre and build a narrative around the “failed promises” of the NDA government. The party plans to use this time to restructure local leadership and prepare for a sustained political movement.
