Jagan Announces Statewide Padayatra and Slams TDP over Drug Case

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared a massive statewide padayatra to challenge the current administration. The YSRCP chief stated that the move is a response to what he calls a breakdown in state governance. He emphasized that the walkathon will serve as a platform to voice the concerns of the common man and rebuild a direct connection with the grassroots population across every district.

The announcement comes on the heels of a heated political controversy involving an Eluru representative. Jagan launched a scathing attack on the TDP-led alliance, citing recent narcotics-related allegations as evidence of a deteriorating law and order situation. He claimed that the ruling party has failed to maintain public safety and is overlooking critical issues affecting the youth of the state.

Addressing his party cadre, Jagan stressed that the padayatra would highlight the “unfulfilled promises” of the current government. He alleged that welfare schemes previously accessible to the poor are being systematically diluted. By hitting the streets, the opposition leader aims to mobilize public opinion against the government’s policies before the next local body elections.

The ruling TDP has dismissed these claims, labeling the padayatra as a political stunt to divert attention from internal party matters. Government spokespersons argued that the administration is focused on development and that the law is taking its own course regarding any criminal investigations. They maintained that the state’s progress remains the top priority despite opposition hurdles.

As preparations for the walkathon begin, political analysts suggest this move could significantly shift the state’s political temperature. The route is expected to cover major rural and urban hubs, focusing on areas where agrarian distress and unemployment are high. This march marks the beginning of a high-decibel campaign era in the state’s evolving political landscape.
