Cyclone Montha Sparks Emergency Across Andhra
Cyclone Montha, forming over the Bay of Bengal, has triggered a full-scale emergency response across Andhra Pradesh. The storm is expected to intensify into a severe cyclonic system, prompting swift action from the state government.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has placed all 26 districts on high alert. Red alerts have been issued for SPSR Nellore, Prakasam, Bapatla, Krishna, West Godavari, Konaseema, and Kakinada. These regions are expected to face strong winds and heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Authorities have urged residents to avoid seashores and low-lying areas. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. Coastal police and marine staff have begun clearing beaches and tourist spots to prevent accidents.
