CM Revanth Reddy Attends US–India Strategic Forum in Delhi

Telangana’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, launched an aggressive campaign to court international investment at the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) meeting in New Delhi today. Addressing top global executives and policymakers, the Chief Minister emphatically positioned Telangana, and its capital Hyderabad, as the premier hub for future-focused technology and a secure gateway to the vast Indian market.
The central theme of his address was the stability and forward momentum of the state’s business ecosystem. He highlighted that over the last three and a half decades, regardless of which political party was in power, Telangana has consistently supported investments and the investor community. This consistent, pro-business track record was presented as a key differentiator, offering reliability that is crucial for multinational companies planning long-term commitments.
The state’s economic vision is massive and clearly defined: to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034, and then to a commanding $3 trillion economy by 2047. This blueprint, titled “Telangana Rising 2047,” is underpinned by several strategic mega-projects intended to revolutionize the state’s urban and industrial landscape.
One of the flagship projects highlighted is the Bharat Future City, an ambitious 30,000-acre urban development designed to be India’s first net-zero, world-class city. This planned city is envisioned as a holistic ecosystem integrating artificial intelligence, life sciences, electronics, and electric vehicle manufacturing hubs with high-quality residential living. The Chief Minister also pitched the Musi River rejuvenation project, promising a transformed riverfront experience that will rival global benchmarks like the developed river corridors of London, Tokyo, and Seoul, adding a vibrant “night economy cycle” to Hyderabad.
Furthermore, Mr. Reddy proposed unique infrastructure developments to ease global business operations, including the creation of a dry port, extensive expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, and manufacturing zones positioned between the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and the Outer Ring Road (ORR). He described Telangana’s efforts as becoming the global answer to the China +1 manufacturing strategy.
His presentation received significant applause and endorsement from attendees.Notably, John Chambers, the former CEO of Cisco and a respected figure in the tech world, described the Chief Minister’s vision as “bold, clear, and very achievable,” promising his full support. The USISPF leadership also committed to attending the upcoming “Telangana Rising Global Summit” in December, confirming the strong international interest generated by the state’s new agenda. The CM also made an unconventional proposal to name major roads in the city after global corporations like Google, Meta, or TCS, in a symbolic break from the tradition of naming them after political figures, signaling a new era of corporate recognition.
