CM Naidu and Shivraj Singh Chouhan Unveil Vajpayee Statue

In a significant event marking Good Governance Day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan jointly unveiled a 12-foot bronze statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.The ceremony took place at Venkatapalem in the Amaravati capital region, serving as the grand finale of the “Atal-Modi Good Governance Yatra.”

The leaders paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister, emphasizing his immense contributions to the nation’s infrastructure and democratic values. Chief Minister Naidu reminisced about his close working relationship with Vajpayee, noting that the late leader’s vision for projects like the Golden Quadrilateral and telecom reforms laid the foundation for modern India.

Addressing a large gathering, CM Naidu highlighted that Vajpayee’s integrity and consensus-driven leadership remain a guiding light for the current coalition government. He stated that the “Vajpayee Smriti Vanam” being developed in Amaravati would stand as a historic memorial, educating future generations about the principles of selfless service and national interest.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised the synergy between the state and central governments, describing it as a force that accelerates development. He lauded the state’s focus on future technologies, specifically the Quantum Valley initiative, as a modern extension of the IT revolution sparked during the Vajpayee era.

The event saw participation from various state ministers, alliance party leaders, and thousands of supporters.The unveiling of this statue is part of a larger initiative to install statues of the former Prime Minister in all 26 district headquarters across Andhra Pradesh to celebrate his birth centenary and legacy.
