CM Meets Farmers to Hand Over Land Documents

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited East Godavari on Friday to personally interact with the farming community. The visit marks a significant step in the state’s effort to modernize land records and address long-standing rural grievances. During a public meeting in Rayavaram, the Chief Minister focused on empowering landowners through transparent documentation.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of new Pattadar Passbooks to local farmers. These documents now feature the official state seal, replacing previous designs. Naidu emphasized that this change ensures the documents remain a symbol of the state’s authority rather than any political individual. He stated that securing land rights is essential for the financial stability of every rural household.

Addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister spoke about the importance of water resources for the region’s prosperity. He called for a collaborative approach to river water management, suggesting that disputes between neighboring states should be resolved through mutual discussion. He argued that preventing water from draining wastefully into the sea is a priority that requires unity rather than conflict.

Farmers at the venue shared their concerns regarding crop insurance and irrigation infrastructure. Naidu assured them that the government is committed to completing pending projects like the Polavaram canal works to ensure a steady water supply. He also highlighted plans to integrate technology into agriculture to help farmers get better market prices for their produce.

The visit concluded with a review of local development works in the Mandapeta constituency. Officials were directed to speed up the rectification of land record errors reported by residents. By engaging directly with the people, the Chief Minister aimed to demonstrate a governance style that prioritizes feedback from the grassroots level.
