ChandrababuNaidu Orders War-Time Gas Supply Measures

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has taken decisive action to manage a brewing fuel crisis in the state. During a high-level review meeting, he addressed the recent dip in LPG consumption caused by international supply chain disruptions. To protect households from shortages, the government has officially moved into a “war-time” distribution mode to ensure every family has access to cooking fuel.
The Chief Minister directed officials to utilize existing reserves strategically to prevent any immediate impact on the public. He emphasized that the state currently holds enough stock to maintain a steady supply for the next two weeks. However, the administration is not taking any chances and is actively coordinating with central agencies to secure additional shipments.
To stop black-marketing and hoarding, the government is making e-KYC and OTP-based verification mandatory for all cylinder deliveries. Naidu warned that strict legal action would be taken against distributors or middlemen caught diverting domestic stocks for commercial use. This digital tracking system aims to bring transparency and ensure that genuine consumers receive their refills on time.
The state is also setting up a dedicated monitoring cell to track daily stock levels across all districts. Civil supplies officials have been instructed to conduct ground-level inspections at bottling plants and distribution centers. This proactive approach is designed to maintain public confidence and prevent panic buying among the citizens.
Naidu reassured the people that while global factors are beyond local control, the state’s internal logistics are being optimized. He noted that the priority is to keep the kitchen fires burning for the common man. By streamlining the supply chain now, the government hopes to tide over the shortage without significant price hikes or service delays.
