Allu Arjun Named in Pushpa-2 Case

Hyderabad police have filed a detailed chargesheet in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred during the Pushpa-2: The Rule promotional event at Sandhya Theatre. The incident, which took place in December 2024, led to the death of a woman and left her young son critically injured. The chargesheet names 23 individuals, including superstar Allu Arjun, who has been listed as Accused No. 11 (A-11). Investigators allege that lapses in crowd management and security arrangements contributed to the chaos when thousands of fans rushed forward to see the actor.

The police report highlights that theatre management, event organizers, and members of Allu Arjun’s personal security team are among those charged. According to officials, the sudden arrival of the actor and film crew drew far more people than anticipated, overwhelming the venue’s capacity. The absence of proper crowd control measures resulted in panic, pushing fans into unsafe conditions. The tragedy claimed the life of Revathi, a 35-year-old woman, while her son Sri Tej suffered serious injuries and required prolonged medical care.

Allu Arjun, now formally named in the chargesheet, had earlier extended financial assistance to the victim’s family. The Telangana government also announced compensation. Despite these measures, the police investigation concluded that accountability must be fixed on all parties involved. The chargesheet runs over 100 pages, detailing the sequence of events, witness statements, and evidence collected during the year-long probe.

The actor’s inclusion as A-11 has sparked intense debate among fans and industry observers. Supporters argue that Allu Arjun was not directly responsible for the stampede, while critics insist that celebrities must ensure safe arrangements when attending public events. The case has reignited discussions about safety standards in cinema promotions and the responsibility of film stars in managing their fan interactions.

As the legal process unfolds, the spotlight remains firmly on Allu Arjun and the Pushpa-2 team. The chargesheet ensures that the matter will continue to dominate headlines, with the court expected to examine evidence in detail. For now, the incident stands as a stark reminder of the risks posed by uncontrolled crowds and the importance of prioritizing public safety during high-profile events.
