Telangana Governance Overhaul,99-Day Action Plan

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy chaired a high-level Collectors’ Conference at the State Secretariat today. The meeting focused on the finalization of the 99-day Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika (Public Governance–Progress Plan). This ambitious roadmap is set to launch on March 6 and will conclude with a massive celebration on Telangana State Formation Day, June 2.

The Chief Minister issued a stern warning to district officials, stating that any lapses in the delivery of welfare schemes would not be tolerated. He directed collectors to ensure that the “fruits of welfare” reach every eligible citizen through organized Gram Sabhas. Key focus areas include the distribution of ration cards, the supply of fine rice through the PDS, and the implementation of the Indiramma Indlu housing program.

On the political front, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy challenged the state government by demanding a “White Paper” on Telangana’s finances. In a formal letter to the CM, the Union Minister alleged that despite receiving nearly ₹12 lakh crore from the Centre over the past 12 years, the state is facing deep fiscal stress. He accused the Congress administration of citing an “empty treasury” to evade its 420 election promises while allegedly offering funds to the party high command.

Adding to the day’s political heat, BRS leader K. Kavitha was arrested during a protest at Narsingi. She was leading a demonstration against illegal constructions on the Musi riverbed, demanding that HYDRAA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency) take immediate action. The arrest has sparked a fresh row between the BRS and the ruling Congress regarding selective enforcement of land laws.

Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy is scheduled to fly to Delhi tomorrow to finalize the names for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. While Abhishek Manu Singhvi’s name has been confirmed for one seat, the second candidate is yet to be announced. The Chief Minister also reiterated his stance that the nation needs Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister, urging party cadre to work towards this goal ahead of the 2026 political cycle.
