Revanth Reddy and PM Modi Discuss Telangana’s Future

In a pivotal diplomatic move for the state, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. This high-profile meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Parliament House, where the Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The primary focus of the discussion centered on long-standing state projects and the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision.
The Chief Minister formally invited the Prime Minister to attend the upcoming Global Summit in Hyderabad. During the interaction, he presented a detailed roadmap aimed at transforming Telangana into a three-trillion-dollar economy by the year 2047. This vision document, prepared with insights from NITI Aayog, aligns with the central government’s national development goals and outlines strategic growth for various sectors.
Crucial infrastructure requests were a major part of the agenda. CM Revanth Reddy urged the Prime Minister to approve the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, which spans over 160 kilometers. Additionally, he sought central cooperation for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad to other major cities like Bengaluru and Chennai to boost regional connectivity.
Development of spiritual and cultural hubs also saw progress. The Chief Minister requested approvals for an elevated corridor through the Tiger Reserve to facilitate easier travel to the Srisailam temple. Furthermore, the meeting touched upon the Bapu Ghat rejuvenation project and various pending funds for rural development, marking a significant step toward collaborative growth between the state and the center.
