Release of the “Yuvagalam Job Calendar-2026”

The Andhra Pradesh government has officially unveiled the much-anticipated “Yuvagalam Job Calendar-2026,” fulfilling a core campaign promise made to the state’s unemployed youth. This initiative aims to streamline the recruitment process for various government departments through a structured and transparent timeline.
During the launch event, IT and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh described the calendar as a “New Year gift” for the younger generation. He emphasized that the government is committed to releasing a similar recruitment schedule every year on the occasion of the Telugu New Year, Ugadi, to ensure consistent employment opportunities.
According to the official schedule, notifications for a total of 10,060 vacancies will be released in a phased manner. The recruitment process is set to begin on May 15, 2026, and will continue through October 15, 2026. This phased approach is designed to allow candidates sufficient time to prepare for different examinations conducted by the APPSC.
The Job Calendar covers a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, and administrative services. Department-wise breakdowns suggest that a significant portion of the vacancies will be allocated to the Home Department and the Medical and Health Department, addressing critical staff shortages in these essential sectors.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to ensure that the recruitment exams are conducted with the highest level of integrity. The administration is focused on using modern technology to prevent paper leaks and ensure that merit remains the sole criteria for selection.
For millions of aspirants who have been waiting for government job notifications, this announcement brings a sense of stability. The government’s decision to fix dates for notifications, exams, and results is expected to reduce the mental stress associated with the uncertainty of public sector hiring.
Educational institutions and coaching centers across the state have already seen an uptick in activity following the announcement. Students are being encouraged to start their preparation early, as the competition for these 10,060 posts is expected to be intense.
The “Yuvagalam” initiative is seen not just as an employment drive, but as a strategic move to boost the state’s economy by empowering the workforce. By filling these positions, the government also aims to improve the efficiency of public service delivery at the grassroots level.
