PM Modi Unveils ₹13,430 Cr Projects in AP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Andhra Pradesh today to launch a series of development projects worth ₹13,430 crore. The initiatives span across infrastructure, defence, energy, and industrial sectors, marking a major boost for regional growth

The Prime Minister began his visit with pooja and darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam, one of India’s rare temples housing both a Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peeth.
Following the temple visit, PM Modi paid homage at the Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra, a memorial dedicated to the Maratha warrior’s spirit and legacy.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister reached Kurnool to lay foundation stones and inaugurate multiple projects. These include power transmission upgrades, defence manufacturing units, and petroleum infrastructure.
The Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa are expected to generate thousands of employment opportunities and attract private investment.
Projects include strengthening the Kurnool-III power pooling station with ₹2,880 crore investment, new railway lines, and improved road networks to enhance logistics and mobility.
New facilities for defence production are part of the initiative, aligning with India’s goal of self-reliance in strategic sectors.
The petroleum and natural gas sector will benefit from upgraded pipelines and storage facilities, improving supply chain efficiency across southern India.
Addressing a large gathering, PM Modi emphasized inclusive development, regional empowerment, and the role of Andhra Pradesh in India’s growth story.
Residents and industry leaders welcomed the announcement, expressing hope for long-term economic benefits and improved quality of life.
All projects will be tracked through digital dashboards to ensure transparency, timely execution, and public accountability.
