Pawan Kalyan Urges Full Transparency in TTD Affairs

In a bold and emotionally charged statement, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has demanded complete transparency in the functioning of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). His remarks have stirred significant public and political attention across the Telugu states.
Pawan Kalyan emphasized that Tirumala is not just a pilgrimage site but a sacred spiritual destination for millions of Hindus worldwide. He described the Tirupati Laddu as more than a sweet—it is a symbol of shared faith and devotion passed across generations.
He expressed deep concern over the alleged administrative failures and unethical practices of the previous TTD board. According to him, these actions have severely impacted the sanctity of Tirumala and shaken the trust of devotees.
The Deputy CM highlighted that nearly 2.5 crore devotees visit Tirumala annually, making it imperative for the temple administration to uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
In response to recent reports about adulterated ghee being supplied to TTD by a firm with no dairy operations, Pawan Kalyan reiterated the need for a robust oversight mechanism. He called for a thorough audit of all procurement and financial dealings within the temple trust.
To safeguard the spiritual and cultural values of Hinduism, he proposed the establishment of a Sanatana Dharma Parirakshana Board. This board, he said, would work with consensus from all stakeholders to protect sacred traditions and ensure that faith-based institutions remain above reproach.
He stressed that secularism must be a two-way street—while respecting all religions, the sentiments and practices of Sanatanis must not be mocked or undermined.
Pawan Kalyan’s statement also included a call for the current TTD board to make all records public. He urged them to publish donation details, procurement contracts, and audit reports to restore public confidence.
He warned that any deviation from ethical governance in spiritual institutions would not be tolerated under the current administration. He also hinted at legislative reforms to ensure long-term structural transparency in temple boards across the state.
The Jana Sena leader’s remarks have received widespread support from devotees, religious scholars, and cultural organizations. Many have echoed his demand for a transparent and accountable TTD system.
Political observers note that this move strengthens Pawan Kalyan’s image as a protector of dharma and positions him as a key voice in spiritual governance.
His call for transparency is also seen as a strategic step to consolidate support among traditional and faith-driven communities ahead of future political milestones.
The proposal for the Sanatana Dharma Parirakshana Board is expected to be discussed in the upcoming cabinet meetings. If implemented, it could become a model for other temple administrations across India.
Meanwhile, opposition leaders have responded cautiously, with some questioning the timing of the announcement. However, the public sentiment appears to be largely in favor of reform and accountability.
Pawan Kalyan concluded his message by stating that faith is not negotiable and that institutions like TTD must reflect the purity and devotion of the people they serve.
His words have reignited a broader conversation about the role of spiritual institutions in modern governance and the need for ethical stewardship of sacred spaces. As the debate unfolds, all eyes are now on the TTD board’s response and the government’s next steps in implementing these reforms
