KTR Demands Probe Over Missing Welfare File

In a major political escalation, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao has demanded a Special Investigation Team probe into a “missing” government document. Speaking in the state assembly, the opposition leader questioned the whereabouts of a file reportedly signed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the legal sanctity of the “six guarantees.” He alleged that despite public declarations made months ago, there is no official record of the legal backing for these welfare promises.

The political atmosphere heated up further as TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud issued a “White Challenge” to the BRS leadership. During a legislative session, he dared former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and KTR to undergo drug tests to prove their integrity. This move follows recent enforcement raids in the state, turning the political discourse into a sharp exchange of personal and professional allegations between the ruling and opposition camps.

Adding to the state’s shifting political landscape, senior Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy is reportedly set to join the BRS. Sources indicate that KCR has already given his nod for the induction, marking a significant blow to the Congress party’s veteran strength. This development comes as the ruling party forms a new coordination committee to bridge gaps between the government and its party wings ahead of upcoming sessions.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy chaired a crucial Congress Legislative Party meeting to finalize strategies for the state budget session. He instructed all MLAs to actively participate in debates and defend the government’s “roadmap for the future.” The CM emphasized that the administration would focus on fulfilling public aspirations rather than dwelling on the failures of previous regimes, setting a clear tone for the legislative agenda.

In a separate cultural and developmental move, the Chief Minister announced a plan to build a grand temple at Ananthagiri Hills. This project is part of the broader Musi River rejuvenation initiative, aimed at turning the river’s birthplace into a major spiritual and ecological landmark. The government intends to develop this site on par with famous pilgrimage centers, blending religious heritage with urban environmental restoration goals.
