High Court Praises Minister Lokesh as Job Calendar Launch Nears

In a significant judicial observation today, the Andhra Pradesh High Court commended Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh for his proactive response to issues in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs). The court noted the “super-fast” reaction of the minister in addressing infrastructure gaps and teacher welfare, stating that such dedication from public representatives restores faith in the administrative system.

The praise follows the government’s swift filing of affidavits detailing immediate fund allocations and safety measures implemented in schools. The bench highlighted that instead of waiting for bureaucratic reports, the minister’s direct field visits and transparent action plans served as a model for efficient governance.

Parallel to this judicial recognition, the Minister provided a major update regarding state recruitment. Speaking in the Assembly, he confirmed that the much-awaited Mega Job Calendar will be officially released on the occasion of Ugadi (March 19, 2026). This calendar is set to be a comprehensive roadmap for filling over 1.14 lakh vacancies across 25 different government departments.

Among the high-priority recruitments, the AP DSC 2026 notification is expected to be a cornerstone of the calendar. The government is currently finalizing vertical and horizontal reservation details and aligning the recruitment process with the latest Presidential Orders regarding zonal re-notifications.

Departments like Police, Revenue, and Health have already identified substantial vacancies. Specifically, the education sector is looking at a significant intake to bolster the school system. Minister Lokesh assured the youth that the calendar would include clear timelines for notifications, exams, and results to ensure a transparent hiring process.

Furthermore, the government is in active discussions with the Central Government to facilitate salary hikes for nearly 11,000 KGBV staff members. Since these schools are centrally sponsored, the state is pushing for an increased budget allocation to ensure competitive pay for educators.
