Chandrababu Unveils Massive Statue in Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu led a historic event in Amaravati . He inaugurated a 58-foot bronze statue of Potti Sriramulu, the “Amarajeevi” of the Telugu people. The unveiling took place at Sakhamuru Park to honor the 125th birth anniversary of the leader who sacrificed his life for a separate state.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister spoke about the pride of the Telugu community. He stated that the statue serves as a symbol of self-respect and the spirit of the state capital. Many leaders and public figures gathered to pay their respects, making it a significant cultural and political milestone for the current government.
In another major development, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) issued a show-cause notice to Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar. This move follows allegations related to a late-night gathering in a Hyderabad farmhouse. The party leadership demanded an immediate explanation to maintain political transparency and discipline within its ranks.
On the administrative front, the state government announced a new initiative for social welfare. Chief Minister Naidu approved the supply of over 44,000 induction stoves to Anganwadi centers across the state. This project aims to modernize rural kitchens and improve the health and safety of workers and children in these centers.
Meanwhile, political heat rose as the Election Commission of India announced poll schedules for several other states. Although Andhra Pradesh is not in this immediate cycle, local parties have already begun intensive revisions of electoral rolls. Opposition leaders and the ruling alliance are actively engaging with voters to strengthen their presence before the next big electoral battle.
