₹7,000 Aid Released to Farmers Today

In a significant move to support the agricultural community, a combined financial assistance of ₹7,000 per farmer was deposited into the bank accounts of over 46 lakh beneficiaries across Andhra Pradesh today, November 19, 2025. This disbursement combines funds from both a state-led initiative and the central government’s prominent farmer welfare scheme.

The state government, through its Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, contributed ₹5,000 to this total amount. This second installment is part of a larger commitment to provide substantial annual financial support to the state’s agricultural families. This state scheme is structured to enhance the existing support farmers receive, acknowledging the critical role they play in the economy.

The balance of ₹2,000 per beneficiary came from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, marking the release of its 21st installment nationwide. The PM-KISAN program offers income support to farmer families across the country, aiming to supplement their financial needs for farm-related expenditures.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu officially launched the disbursement program in the Kamalapuram Assembly constituency of the YSR Kadapa district. The total outlay for this simultaneous credit of the combined amount is approximately ₹3,077.77 crore, transferred directly using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The synchronization of these payments is designed to provide maximum relief to farmers, particularly ahead of crucial agricultural seasons. The combined schemes ensure that eligible farmers receive a total annual support of ₹20,000, distributed across three installments throughout the year. The state government contributes ₹14,000, while the central government contributes ₹6,000 through PM-KISAN.

Farmers were urged to ensure their bank accounts are actively linked with their Aadhaar cards and that their e-KYC is completed to receive the funds without any interruptions. The government has stressed the importance of seamless technology integration to ensure the financial aid reaches the intended beneficiaries directly and transparently.

Agricultural Minister K. Atchannaidu, in a video conference with officials from all 26 districts, mandated prompt action on grievance redressal. Officials were instructed to actively resolve issues related to land record mismatches, Aadhaar seeding errors, and payment failures. This proactive measure aims to ensure that no eligible farmer is left out of this vital support system.

The government also highlighted the process for heirs of deceased farmers, asking officials to swiftly process death mutations so that the financial benefits can be transferred to the rightful successors. This administrative push ensures that the welfare measure is inclusive and reaches every deserving farming family.

For farmers who may have missed the first installment due to technical issues, the government has provided avenues to raise complaints at the local Rythu Seva Kendras (Farmer Service Centres). The official helpline numbers have been reinforced to handle queries and complaints, upholding the government’s commitment to farmer welfare. This significant financial injection is expected to provide a crucial boost to the rural economy and support the resilience of the state’s agricultural sector.
